Finally making your wishes come true, ya dang gun-nuts!!!!

Gary checking in…It’s midnight on a Monday.  I should be in bed with my smokin’ hot wife but, instead I’m trying my best to deliver on an old and long over due promise to our listeners.  Getting the podcast thing rebooted and starting from scratch because the old process was, at best, a fuster-cluck.  Will likely start with this past Sunday’s show and then start filling in the older stuff later.

  1. Proud of your choice of weapons for the header photo but I am also a little surprised considering your comments about my favorite gun maker.

  2. Gary checking…Thanks for the replies guys. Tim, the 1911s happen to be two of my personally owned 5-inch guns and it’s a photo I took a while back while playing with some new lighting equipment. We admittedly give Kimber a lot of grief but, it is only because they aren’t quite as good a value to a shooter as they once were. These days, their single biggest issue is inconsistent quality control which isn’t acceptable given the prices their 1911s command these days.

FWIW, the Kimber pictured in that photo is a 1990s’ vintage copy with a Clackamas, Oregon stamp…Back when Kimber 1911s could only be had in two sizes, a half-dozen flavors, and quality was fairly consistent. Today, meh, not so much. That said, if you can find a Kimber Warrior or other model with an internal extractor and no firing-pin safety, they are still a pretty solid base gun that can be made reliable with minor tuning and minimal parts replacement.
