I’d offer a joke that his entire police force are therefore but a step away from being criminals themselves but, that is a bit too close to being true to be funny. The mainstream media is all over the fact Chicago is dropped their murder total down to 407 murders as of this writing. It was almost 500 this time last year which ended with a total of 512.  Mind you, 407 is still pretty damned high and at the moment, still higher than any other major US city this year. And sadly, Chicago’s local has taken to trying to explain it away by pointing out that looking at the total number of murders isn’t fair. Kinda funny to see them resorting to per capita statistics now that the shoe is on the other foot and for all their draconian gun laws, they still lead the nation in murders.
