  1. I knew Loius personally for years and sadly the rumor is true. I received the call last night. I will miss my Big Brother more than words can say!

  2. I have been training and eventually instructing firearms disciplines for 20 years in LE. I have learned from a host of “famous” and anonymous instructors and I will state with 100% conviction Louis was the absolute all around best of them all. I will miss him. My prayers to his wife ‘snake’.

  3. Sorry to hear of this Louis is a proud product of his old home town Kimberley. He was legend in his own time! raced bikes against him in his youth and got advice on reloading when it was new in SA. Condolences to his wife Snake.

  4. That’s very sad. Haven’t seen Louis since he came to the UK with me on holiday in 1972 from South Africa. The trip was especially for him to buy parts for his Honda. I’m very sorry, he was a lovely man.

  5. Very sorry to hear about Louis. We go back to old Kimberley days. He still has pride of place on rossgun.com. We salute you Louis. You were a special friend. Condolences to his family. Lindsay and Julia Ross
