Gun shop owner kills suspected burglar, injures two others.

Yet another armed store owner defending his life and his property with a lawfully owned firearm.  An AR-15 style rifle no less!  They can be used for good instead of evil.  This type of story does not get the press attention it should.  If the store owner had been killed, the press would be shouting about the “Evils of guns!”

“NORTH AUGUSTA — One man is dead and two are recovering after being shot by a gun store owner during a burglary of his business Thursday morning.

Stephen Bayazes Jr., 57, told officers that he and his wife were asleep in an apartment at the back of the business, Guns & Ammo Gunsmith, 522 Edgefield Road, shortly before 4 a.m. when he awoke after hearing a loud crash and the activation of a silent alarm.

Bayazes grabbed an AR-15 semiautomatic rifle and found three men loading guns into a van that had crashed through the side wall of the store.”

65 Year old woman runs off 5 armed robbers!

In Garden Grove, California the other day, a 65 year old woman with a gun chased 5 armed criminals out of her jewelry store.  The video of this amazing incident (posted below) is quite funny.  These crooks can’t get out the door fast enough!

How is a 65 year old supposed to defend her life, without the equalizing force of a firearm? In the end, the police can not be everywhere at once.  It is up to YOU to defend YOU until help can arrive.

HOUSTON – The teenage son of a Harris County Precinct 1 deputy shot a home intruder Tuesday afternoon in the 2600 block of Royal Place in northwest Harris County, deputies said.

The 15-year-old boy and his 12-year-old sister had been home alone in the Mount Royal Village subdivision when around 2:30 p.m. a pair of burglars tried the front and back doors, then broke a back window.

The teenager grabbed his father’s assault rifle and knew what to do with it.

“We don’t try to hide things from our children in law enforcement,” Lt. Jeffrey Stauber said. “That young boy was protecting his sister. He was in fear for his life and her life.”

The home invaders fled, leaving a trail of blood.

Marines + 1911 = Happy Marines

The rumors have been floating around for several weeks, but this is the first I have seen in the main stream media.  I LOVE the 1911, but I am still not sure it would be my frist choice if I was living in the mud and sand….  Just glad that we are helping the American gun industry, and helping these young Marines by teaching them the joy of a proper trigger.

“The M1911 Colt .45

The Colt .45 M1911 is making a big comeback, now that the U.S. Marines have placed a $22.5 million order for the Connecticut-made pistols.

It’s been called the greatest handgun ever made, and it has barely changed sine 1911, when the legendary John Browning designed it especially for the U.S. Military.

And now, the Colt .45 M1911 is making a big comeback, now that the U.S. Marines have placed a $22.5 million order for the Connecticut-made pistols.

The gun, which has been wielded on film by John Wayne and in real life by Sgt. Alvin York and Maj. Audie Murphy, was the standard-issue sidearm in the military for decades, until it was replaced by the Beretta M9 in 1985.”

“It just became an iconic part of military and American history.”
