Guns, especially handguns made since 1980, don’t typically just go off. Typical bolt-action rifles and sporting shotguns may be a different story as they are not designed to be carried into combat but, service grade handguns from the likes of SigSauer, Smith&Wesson, Colt, HK, Glock, etc, don’t just mysteriously go BANG! without a booger-hook (aka finger) or some other object pressing on the bang switch (aka trigger) with sufficient force to activate the entire fire control system, up to and including, disabling a firing-pin block. That doesn’t happen by accident unless you’re an incompetent idiot or, in the words of Lee Paige, the only one in the room professional enough to handle a firearm.
