I know there’s someone out there who thinks this cop should have simply asked the driver to step out of the car but, the fact he drove off, dragged the deputy with him and didn’t stop until shot indicates that clearly would not have worked. And before we get into the blood thirsty cop thing, notice that at the first opportunity, this officer ran back to his cruiser and administered first aid to a guy who’d just tried to kill him.
