Detroit police chief: Legal gun owners can deter crime | The Detroit News

“If more citizens were armed, criminals would think twice about attacking them,” – Detroit Police Chief James Craig via Detroit police chief: Legal gun owners can deter crime | The Detroit News.

Another police chief breaks with tradition and stops thinking politically. The Interpol chief had similar comments a few months back. This is REAL common sense. The gibberish we hear from the Bloombergs, Feinsteins, Schumers, Obamas, and Bidens of the world will continue. But if more police chiefs come around to thinking more about law enforcement the way many sheriff’s do, we might actually make some real progress in this country again.

In Case You Missed It: Magpul Industries to Move Headquarters to Texas

AUSTIN – Firearm accessories manufacturer Magpul Industries has announced it is relocating its corporate headquarters from Colorado to Texas. Magpul began a nationwide relocation search following the passage of anti-2nd Amendment legislation in Colorado this summer that made it difficult for the company to do business.

“In Texas, we understand that freedom breeds prosperity, which is why we’ve built our economy around principles that allow employers to innovate, keep more of what they earn, and create jobs,” Gov. Perry said. “I’m proud that Magpul is the latest employer to join the ranks of companies that call Texas home.”

“Excessive government regulation undermines a culture based on personal responsibility and creates a detrimental business environment,” Magpul CEO Richard Fitzpatrick said. “Texas supports personal freedoms and our company will thrive in that environment.”

Gov. Perry has reached out to more than 30 firearm manufacturers in states across the country that are considering restricting sales and manufacturing in the industry. Magpul cited the Lone Star State’s business-friendly environment, predictable regulations and consistent respect for the Second Amendment as key elements in its decision to relocate.

Girl hit by stray bullet while watching fireworks – Houston Chronicle

It pains me to read the same headlines every 4th of July and every New Year, “Girl hit by stray bullet while watching fireworks…” Folks, nearly all us gun owners know better but, there are always bad apples (typically noobs) who just don’t get it. What goes up must come down…Typically with enough force to injure or kill and certainly damage property.

Police say the girl was hit shortly after midnight Wednesday in the buttocks by what initially was believed to be fireworks as she stood outside her home in the 900 block of Alametos Street. It was later found to be a bullet, believed to have been fired by someone to ring in the New Year, police said.

So count this as a Public Service Announcement…Friends don’t let friends launch bullets without knowing where those bullets are going.

On the recent Fox and DeLatuer study: Let me save you some time…

If you get a link to this study, here’s the abridged version in their own words…(emphasis added)

The fact that gun control, expanded psychiatric services, and increased security measures are limited in their ability to prevent dreadful mass shootings doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t try. In the immediate aftermath of the Newtown shooting, there was momentum in Washington, D.C., and in various state legislatures to establish policies and procedures designed to make us all safer.

Gun restrictions and other initiatives may not stop the next mass murderer, wherever he or she may strike, but we can enhance the well-being of millions of Americans in the process. Besides, doing something is better than doing nothing. At least, it will reduce the debilitating feeling of helplessness.  -via  Mass Shootings in America: Moving Beyond Newtown.

While they’d prefer to abolish the 2nd Amendment, have you doped stupid by a psychiatrist, and lock everyone who even seem a little off into a rubber room, they recognize that none of these steps would actually prevent the next mass murder. But, doing something is better than nothing!

One of America’s most twisted news sources reports Marine Corps started in a gay bar…

“Many of the Army personnel who were stationed with Marines in Iraq and Afghanistan noticed a lot of primordial homo-erotic tendencies within their lower enlisted ranks,” he said. “The way they would casually smack each other’s asses, their brazen displays of nudity amongst their comrades, it was incredible to see. Plus there was that time I saw two dudes going down on each other behind a port-o-shitter on Camp Leatherneck. That was pretty fuckin’ gay.” -Army Sgt. 1st Class Craig Mangas
