Sometimes You Get Beat Like a Turd Because You Are One

Really, dude?  I guess we shouldn’t be surprised…The police in general, are not in the business of arresting, detaining, or otherwise beating people for no good reason.  Sometimes, if you get treated like a turd, it’s because you really are a turd.  Guilt may not justify a beating without due process but, it doesn’t help your case.  Being a repeat offender means the first beating, arrest, conviction, and sentence apparently were not bad enough to deter you from doing it again.  And by the way…You got lucky a second time because a neighbor was just hoping you’d enter home this time around. We’re suppose to AVOID, not seek, confrontations….

Raul Rodriguez went against everything concealed handgun license applicants are told about avoiding unnecessary confrontations.  Folks, it’s not enough to read the “Cliff Notes” version of the class regarding non-violent dispute resolution and use of force. Parroting cute little buzzwords on camera or the 911 tape while being an idiot and seeking a fight rather than avoiding one just provides admissible evidence of you being an idiot.

At the risk of being insensitive…”Hey Y’all! Hold my beer and watch this!”

Drunken teen killed by own ricocheted gunshot in southern Texas

Published June 13, 2012/NewsCore

MCALLEN, Texas –  A drunk 17-year-old died in southern Texas after a bullet he shot at a butane tank ricocheted back and hit him in the head.

Israel Torres fired the shot with a semi-automatic handgun in the backyard of a home near McAllen, Texas, shortly before 11:30pm Monday night, The Monitor reported.

“It was just an accident under the influence of alcohol,” Hidalgo County Sheriff Lupe Trevino said Tuesday.

Trevino said deputies found Torres’ father and his two sons had been drinking heavily prior to the incident.

“All three are pretty drunk when someone pulls a .380-caliber, semi-automatic [handgun] and shoots it into the backyard,” Trevino said. “The 17-year-old gets it and tells his girlfriend, ‘Here, look, pull the trigger.'”

When the teen’s girlfriend refused to handle the gun, Torres pulled out the gun’s clip and turned to a butane tank, the Monitor reported.

“He fires one time and shoots himself in the head,” Trevino said, adding that Torres’ family was living in the U.S. illegally.

Deputies are investigating whether the father bore any criminal responsibility in the death of his son.

McAllen is located 250 miles south of San Antonio, near the Mexican border.

Army reverses ban on P-Mags

I guess the Army is actually listening to the troops for once.  No Mags are perfect, but P-Mags are far better that most of the mags out there.

From Military.com…
“The Pentagon has clarified the Army’s stance on a recent safety message that effectively banned a certain high-performance, commercial M4 magazine, which means soldiers can keep using their PMAGs.

The confusion began when Army officials from the TACOM Life Cycle Management Command issued a message in April, declaring that the only government-issued aluminum magazines were authorized for use in the M4 and M16 rifles.”
