State suspends gun permit for CEO who said he would ‘start killing people’ over gun control | The Raw Story

State suspends gun permit for CEO who said he would ‘start killing people’ over gun control | The Raw Story.

Well; it seems James Yeager, in a moment of passion, managed to step on his own d*ck.  I’m not apologizing for him but if we’re honest, I think a lot of us get where he was coming from even if we wouldn’t put it in those words.  Having said that, even Yeager knew he was wrong which is why he took the video down.  But, uploading on the Internet is a lot like launching a bullet…You can’t take it back and you have to deal with the consequences.  Hopefully, Yeager doesn’t end up with any permanent issues from this but, the fact is, the left will invariably seize on his statements as “clear evidence” we gun-owners are a bunch of lunatics that need to be controlled.

Kaul: Nation needs a new agenda on guns | The Des Moines Register | desmoinesregister.com

Typical liberal, first to advocate violence and the stripping of rights from anyone one who doesn’t walk in lock-step with their agenda…. Kaul: Nation needs a new agenda on guns | The Des Moines Register | desmoinesregister.com.

I’m not going to ask you to read all of the above article but, here are the main points he advocated in his own words…

• Repeal the Second Amendment, the part about guns anyway. It’s badly written, confusing and more trouble than it’s worth. It offers an absolute right to gun ownership, but it puts it in the context of the need for a “well-regulated militia.” We don’t make our militia bring their own guns to battles. And surely the Founders couldn’t have envisioned weapons like those used in the Newtown shooting when they guaranteed gun rights. Owning a gun should be a privilege, not a right.

• Declare the NRA a terrorist organization and make membership illegal. Hey! We did it to the Communist Party, and the NRA has led to the deaths of more of us than American Commies ever did. (I would also raze the organization’s headquarters, clear the rubble and salt the earth, but that’s optional.) Make ownership of unlicensed assault rifles a felony. If some people refused to give up their guns, that “prying the guns from their cold, dead hands” thing works for me.

• Then I would tie Mitch McConnell and John Boehner, our esteemed Republican leaders, to the back of a Chevy pickup truck and drag them around a parking lot until they saw the light on gun control.

And if that didn’t work, I’d adopt radical measures…”

I’ll leave it to our listeners and readers to make up their own minds which side of this discussion they are on.  Make no mistake; this man is advocating the idea of classifying an entire swath of law-abiding citizens as terrorists and criminals and killing them if they don’t comply with his personal agenda.  And then there’s that whole political discourse thing where people on the left complain about Sarah Palin “taking aim” at politicians while this columnist advocates dragging two sitting members of Congress around a parking lot in the same style of the lynching of James Byrd.

I may have been born into a Democratic household but, this is the kind of stuff that makes me ashamed to know anyone associated with the party.

This isn’t journalism. It’s not about informing the public. It is wanton and reckless endangerment of law abiding citizens who have committed no crimes. These “journalists” have an agenda and as much as they’d likely claim the NRA has blood on its hands as a result of the Newtown tragedy and others, these “journalists” should surely consider themselves just as guilty if someone targets these innocent citizens for violence. Then again, that would require them to be logical and thoughtful people which they clearly are not.

Police Recruiting in a “Red” State vs Police Recruiting in a “Blue” State

A CNBC article popped up on Yahoo in the last day or so that mentions a couple police recruiting videos that have gone viral.  Without realizing it, the author hit on something I can’t help but notice.  Most of us know that Georgia is a decidedly “Red” state, or as us gun folks might say, a “free” state that recognizes the rights of its citizens and one in which the Constitution still holds water. California, on the other hand, is decidedly “Blue” and a state that has been on a 50 year tear to completely eliminate the 2nd Amendment rights of not just Californians but, the entire country because apparently, politicians from California think the people serve the government rather than the other way around.  So with that thought, take a look at police recruiting videos from Decatur, GA versus Newport Beach, CA.  The CNBC article makes fun of the difference in attitude, characterizing Decatur as “Mayberry” while Newport and California in general is jokingly referred to as “Afghanistan.”  Now I’ve been to both cities and I have to say, nothing about California outside gang infested areas like South Central LA has ever reminded me of anything I’d associate with Afghanistan.  Decatur might indeed be a lot like Mayberry in the sense that it is still a small town and feels like it.  Newport however, in spite of its recruiting video, is about as far removed from “Afghanistan” as you can get so the, “we’ll chew you up and spit you out” attitude of their recruiting video just makes me laugh.

Ish Just Got Real as some might say.

http://dailycaller.com/2012/07/02/congressmen-urge-the-un-to-trample-the-us-constitution/

Don’t be surprised if you haven’t seen this mentioned in mainstream media…They approve of almost anything and everything Democrats do, including selling the entire US population into slavery for the benefit of big insurance firms by calling it health care reform.  But we’ve also heard both the President and Attorney General of the United States go on record saying they could envision ways of getting around the Constitution to enact and enforce stricter gun laws.  Obama and Holder are not alone in their desire to get around the Constitution. See the except below:

“…a group of anti-gun members of the U.S. House of Representatives, led by U.S. Rep. Raul Grijalva (D-Ariz.), went so far as to circulate a letter last week to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice, in which they “strongly urge the United States to take a leadership role in pushing for a strong, verifiable Arms Trade Treaty.”

These House members insist that the treaty include “controls on a comprehensive list of weaponry, including small arms and light weapons,” as well as controls on ammunition. For good measure, they wrap their unconstitutional demands in the mantle of advancing “human rights” and preventing international violence.

Don’t you dare think these people give a rats butt about SCOTUS rulings stating that the Constitution does indeed guarantee an individual right to keep and bear arms.  After years of courts ruling in their favor, suddenly, that decision was a politically motivated ruling by activists judges and in their minds, invalid.  They support the Bill of Rights only up to the point it furthers their own agenda.  The minute those right apply to a view point other than their own, they’ll go out of their way to try to alienate those rights for the people who don’t share their own point of view.
